“I don’t hide behind a company name, I put my last name on the truck for a reason”

After speaking with Adam Rimbey for only a few moments one immediately notices the passion for his work radiating from his voice.

Adam Rimbey got into the drain cleaning business immediately after finishing his education. When he was just 19 years old, Adam jumped at the idea of working for a large-scale drain cleaning business. They provided him with an opportunity to support himself and learn an incredibly valuable skill at the same time. Additionally, the company happened to use multiple Spartan machines and introduced Adam to their capabilities.

Although Adam was happy with that employer, he knew he was capable of providing more value to his customers. What Adam came to realize is that there was one genuine element of business that just cannot be found in a nation-wide company. His dream was to provide the same expert-level service while also establishing a real-life connection with his valued customers.

One year ago, Adam founded Rimbey’s Drain Cleaning in pursuit of fulfilling that dream.

Speaking with Adam it is clear that providing a “mom and pop shop” experience is a driving force for his company and this is practiced in all the day-to-day operations. Rimbey’s Drain Cleaning even offers pricing directly over the phone, which has been a very successful endeavor for them. Adam’s dedication to honesty and integrity is what separates Rimbey’s Drain Cleaning from the competition.

“My business is only one year old and things are going even better than expected!”

Adam’s dedication to a job well done and a family-friendly experience has not gone unnoticed. Rimbey’s Drain Cleaning has been more successful in its first year of operation than Adam could have ever imagined. Adam now has established connections across the Minneapolis metropolitan area. Although the success of the business came from Adam’s hard work, he does share that his Spartan Model 2001 drain cleaning machine has been an important tool in achieving that success.

Rimbey's Drain Cleaning

Adam found out quickly that in the very early stages of operating any business you must jump at every job and see it as an opportunity to get your name out. “Spartan allowed us to do any job no matter how difficult. This allowed us to establish connections and keep a great reputation.” Although Rimbey’s Drain Cleaning was a young company, it was backed by expertise, knowledge and professional grade equipment. This allowed Rimby’s to grow at a far more accelerated rate than most start-up drain cleaning services.

Adam says that his Spartan Models 81 and 100, and particularly his Model 2001, have helped with his quick expansion.

“I don’t think I have ever had a problem with my machines; the cable is great and functions perfectly with the drum. I know pulling roots is pretty standard in this industry but there are times when some roots are just tougher than others. With my Model 2001, it never mattered, I was always able to complete the job. A lot of homes here in Minneapolis are very old and have super narrow doorways and steep stairs that have tight corners. [The] Model 2001 can be broken down and easily brought down the stairs by one person!”

Recently Rimbey’s had expanded to the point where Adam needed more help, so he brought on his cousin Mike, who is also a drain cleaning expert. This has allowed Adam to maintain his family-oriented business model and provide more customers with the first-class service Rimby’s is known for. They are very excited for what is to come with the business, and we are excited to be a part of their rapidly growing business!
